Art Suite Punta Tragara Hotel: Interview with architect Giorgia Dennerlein

Architect Giorgia Dennerlein, of the Loto AD Project firm, chose Emilgroup coverings for the restyling of the Art Suite of Punta Tragara, a luxury 5-star hotel on Capri.
She selected the Tele di Marmo Precious collection for the suite thanks to its original combination of crystals and agates, ideal for re-creating the beauty of the marine ambience.
We interviewed Giorgia Dennerlein to find out what guided her approach to the project.

What is the philosophy of your interior design projects?

Each of our projects has its own, coherent poetics but they all express the importance of the relationship between the individual and the environment through sustainable materials, eclectic combinations and a vibrant colour scheme chosen in harmony with the shapes and refined textures featured. An unconventional elegance underscored by high-tech furnishings by top brands.

What excited you most about this project?

The aim at Punta Tragara was to restore the harmony of this wonderful building’s architectural languages, from a contemporary viewpoint but never forgetting its history and the way it has been forged by time.

What impressed you most about Emilgroup?

The Emilceramica onyx floor with bright blue veins we selected for the Art Suite of the Punta Tragara hotel, to match the blue framed by the large arched windows, re-establishes the link to the Mediterranean; guests seem to be borne on the waves towards an oasis of comfort. The blues of the sky and sea intermingle.
