Luca Building 831: interview with KCC Glass Corporation

Luca Building 831, a large residential and office complex in the Gangnam district in Seoul, was the winner in the Evolution category of the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025. The project used the Level Tinta Unita White large slabs, in the 160x320 size, to underline the building’s monumental character and give it a modern and distinctive identity.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the KCC Glass Corporation team, which oversaw the project.

1. What was your design vision?

We wanted the design of the building to be very simple but at the same time to transmit a sensation of luxury and prestige. The pure white colour of the Tinta Unita White slabs was perfect for achieving this goal while the arch design applied right along the entire building enabled us to give it a clear and distinctive identity.  

2. How would you describe the project in three words?

Dedication, symbol and prestige. The project was the product of a strong team effort and is now an emblematic building in the centre of Gangnam, as well as a high-profile addition to our portfolio.

3. What impressed you most about the Emilgroup products?

We were particularly impressed by the quality and design of the Emilgroup products, perfectly in line with the demands of the Korean market which favours a modern aesthetic. We also received continuous support from the Emilgroup team, which facilitated every phase of the project.

4. How valuable is this recognition for your work?

This prize is special because we worked very hard to acquire the project. Of all the properties we have worked on, Luca Building 831 is particularly significant because it is a prominent building in one of the most important areas of Korea. Our thanks go to Emilgroup for this acknowledgment.
