The new residential buildings in Milan.
This residential complex project in Milan was carried out by the architectural firm DFA Partners. There were two main requirements: a high level of design, ensuring aesthetic continuity with the exterior, and high technical performance – weathering resistance, energy saving and optimisation of maintenance costs for cleaning the facades.
The project used the Provoak collection in an innovative way, ensuring a harmonious continuity of surfaces and making full use of the potential and flexibility of the ceramic material. Right for this reason, the project won in the Evolution category of the Emilgroup Project Awards 2022.

Both criteria were met by the choice of ventilated facades and Provenza’s Provoak collection. Provoak tiles are perfectly suited to outdoor needs: they are resistant to weathering and easy to clean. They were therefore used to cover the 2,500 m2 outside area with a vertical installation for the facades and a diagonal installation for the roof. The selected colour, Rovere Puro, enhances the aesthetics of the complex with elegant and harmonious vein patterns that give the product a clean, minimalist design. The ventilated facades enable quick assembly/replacement of the individual elements and, thanks to the inner coat, guarantee the building high energy efficiency.
Furthermore, in this project it was decided to continue using the same stoneware also in the roof covering in order to obtain a harmonious continuity of surfaces, taking full advantage of the potential and flexibility of use of the material.
