Styles come together for an original coffee break

Styles come together for an original coffee break

The Emilgroup collections have revitalised the interiors of the Reserva Coffee coffee-shop in McAllen, Texas. The complete restyling has created a fresh, modern location: the combination of different styles is the perfect setting for taking time out for a coffee and for relaxing in comfortable, contemporary surroundings.

Thanks to the versatility and ductility of the Emilgroup products, Noma Design Studio, together with State of the Art Studio and Forma Builds came up with an original design with visually striking juxtapositions, reflecting an approach of complete creative freedom.

The floors of the entrance and bar area were finished with the Medley collection, in Dark Grey Rock 60x120 cm version; its Venetian Terrazzo marble scales immediately confer a strong personality on the interior. The countertops, on the other hand, were covered with the 6x24 cm brick tiles of the Metallica by Viva collection, in Green and Black colours, both with Lux finish. In this application, the bricks mould the light and amplify the iridescent reflections from the glossy surface.

The unusual combinations of colours and materials continue in the restaurant area, where the Pink colour from the Medley collection takes centre stage in the 60x120 cm floor tiles, together with the Cage decor from the Grainstone collection, which covers the walls with a fascinating substantial and tactile effect. The depth of the Calacatta Black of Level, in Full Lappato version, selected to finish the countertop of the lounge area, provides a look of great beauty which contrasts with minimalist, simple mood of the wall.
